Smith Gruppe supports every stakeholder throughout the communities they serve. In this project Smith Gruppe optimized the computer lab at a North Carolina Charter School to provide for software engineering education and training for full-stack development training for its high school population. Smith Gruppe provided the servers, an in-person instructor and virtual classroom computing for ongoing student support .
Smith Gruppe partnered with and advised the Lexington Housing Authority, a North Carolina HUD Certified non-profit housing authority, on how to create a sustainable workforce development program. Smith Gruppe leveraged its web application development capabilities to create custom web applications for the tenants of the housing authority to be able to source and identify gainful employment opportunities, as well as provided the OJT (On The Job Training) portals on its servers to allow for business and industry participation on the project.
